But it's fun and while the build seems kind of cheesy, it kind of suits him. I'm sure he'd be better with a 2h weapon. I'm using TTT for long arm spell which helps with reach a bit. He doesn't have a mount or pounce (not running a skald merc) so he's got typical melee issues. It's not amazing, but he's fun to bring along. Dragon disciple is taken for another bite attack, more strength, ac, and some spell casting progression. Serpentine was just taken because it's kind of thematic and it's another place to stack holy damage and sense vitals on. It gets you bloodrage (you can cast in rage) for an AB/damage boost, 1d6 holy damage on all your attacks, and a bite (from serpentine). He's only level 12 atm but this is how I've gone so far.Ģ- Empyreal Sorcerer (metamagic- extend spell)ħ-10 Dragon Disciple (Outflank, Power Attack, Two-Weapon Fighting)ġ1-12 Eldritch Knight (Improved Two-Weapon Fighting, Two-Bladed Sword proficiency)ġ second bloodline (gold dragon) this was necessary to unlock DDģ second bloodrager bloodline (serpentine)īloodrager dip is for martial weapon proficiency. cRPG Bro's divine hound build is way stronger than this of course. I don't feel like I need a second cleric, but an arcane buffer would be welcome so I looked at Empyreal sorcerer (the wis archetype). But most of the builds I've seen with him are either cleric or divine hound. He starts with a monk dip and he has a solid stat block. I thought he needed a build that reflected that. An imaginary monster compounded of incongruous parts. I think Lann is probably the most versatile of the companions.
